HR European Payroll Specialist (24-32h)
Responsibilities
Do you want to make a difference and contribute to creating a better world? Are you interested in developing your skills and knowledge, while putting your ideals to work? Join us, we are a frontrunner in ethical banking and global impact investing, and we need people like you to make change happen.
We believe that money can change the world for the better. In fact, our organisation was founded on this belief. Our mission is to create a society that protects and promotes the quality of life of all its members with human dignity at its core.
As a bank we are in transition towards OneBank, operating over five European countries but acting as one, therewith creating more international collaboration and international positions. This also means increasing payroll complexities for our internationalizing co-worker base. To further improve on our cross border working and international payroll process, we are already supported by EY, but are in addition looking for an experienced professional who can help us coordinate this process of international remuneration, and tax process, across the countries. Acting as a SPOC and also ensuring a good and solid reporting on the growing group positions working abroad.
Profile
How you will make a difference
You will help us to ‘change finance to finance change’, by overseeing and managing the operational process across 5 European countries on the different payroll processes and systems.
As said before, you will work closely with EY and Hillbrook, where our payroll administrative process is outsourced to, but your role is to manage this process from Triodos. You ensure a solid and properly governed international payrolling process. We believe, given the size of our current working abroad population this role could be done in 3 to 4 days a week.
As a part of your daily tasks:
- You will advise HR and management on the cross border working options
- You will act as a single point of contract and advice cross border co-workers on terms & conditions of cross border/ international working
- You will coordinate the gross/net calculations with Hillbrook and as a point of contact to tax advisor for outsourced payrolls (France, Luxemburg, and Swiss)
- You will be responsible for contractual matters, fiscal and legal consequences and alignment with Tax and Legal
- You will internationally coordinate (and process) the split payroll process in NL for cross border co-workers and align with HR departments in other countries. This includes travel calendar management, instructions to local HR departments in other countries outside NL, calculation of holiday allowances and 13th month payments;
- You will manage business demand, translate wishes into functional requirements and align the realization with internal or external suppliers
- You will coordinate requests for work permits with external party
- And of course, you will report on your activities and make sure that others gladly align with your timelines
What you will bring
Your unique potential and your values matter for us most. We look for people who are self-aware and who think in a holistic way, always conscious about their impact on society, environment, and the economy.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- be able to influence and persuade local and groupwide stakeholders within HR and outside HR (management)
- maintain integrity and honesty when handling personal data, given its sensitive nature
- set focus and prioritize your work
- have an analytical mind, are well organized and hands-on
- connect closely with HR colleagues across the Triodos group in all 5 countries
Furthermore, it is expected that you:
- have a proven track record in Dutch and (some) international payrolling
- are able to drill down in financial load administration quickly and thoroughly
- are a good communicator, including a proficient level in English in both speaking and writing
- have an education in Loan administration (in Dutch PDL)
- preferably bring previous experience as international payroll specialist, ideally within an international HR context
Your future colleagues
You will be reporting directly to Head of HR Service Delivery and cooperate closely with the payroll administrations in all countries. Also you will find close collaboration with EY as our external provider, and with our HR Data team for reporting.
The broader HR team across Triodos Group consists of 50 co-workers in total. For our reporting purposes you will deal with the personal and HR related data of our international working co-worker base existing of approximately 100 co-workers over five countries.
