The Change Program Office of Triodos Investment Management is responsible for the planning and execution of the change activities through projects and process improvements. The department consists of a team of 2 project managers, 1 business process manager and a manager. The team is professionalizing the change capabilities with dedicated capacity and through coaching of parttime project- or process managers. The team also coordinates the project portfolio and the related budget.

To accommodate the growth of the organisation, we are looking for an additional: Project Manager (32-40 hours)


The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organising and directing the completion of specific projects while ensuring these projects are delivered on-time, within budget and within scope.

The main tasks are:

  • Set the project scope and objectives together with the business or product owner
  • Set up and lead a project team
  • Coordinating availability of internal and external resources and budget
  • Create and maintain project documentation and project planning
  • Identify and resolve issues
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage interests of and maintain relationship with stakeholders
  • Smooth hand-over to operation and closing of the project

The type of projects the Project Manager will be leading is diverse and challenging. The goal could be to comply with new legislation, to introduce new software or systems, a new way of working, or to launch new products/funds or product changes. All projects are part of the 3-year strategy of Triodos Investment Management.

Triodos Investment Management is currently using a project methodology which is a combination of Prince2 and Agile. At the moment the project methodology and the related governance structure is set per project, based on the characteristics of the projects. Therefore, the role of project manager can vary from a traditional Prince2 project manager to a 100% Agile Scrum Master. We strive to finish the transition to Agile project management in the near future.

What we expect from you?

Experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience; experience within ICT-projects and/or with implementation of new legislation as change components is preferable
  • Proven experience in working in the financial sector. Experience in the asset management industry is a plus
  • Strong understanding/certificates of formal project management methodologies like Prince2, Agile, IPMA and Lean Six Sigma
  • A master’s degree, preferably in Business Process Management, Business Administration or Business Analysis


  • A result-oriented and problem-solving attitude with hands-on pragmatic mentality
  • A natural networker and connector on all levels with the capacity to function well within an international and multi-disciplinary context
  • Ability to operate on a tactical & operational level by aligning interests and multi-stakeholder communication with a large organisational sensitivity
  • Affinity and personal connection with the mission and values of Triodos Investment Managements and being able to translate these in daily tasks
  • Excellent language skills in Dutch and English, both written and orally

Applicants must be nationals of a European member state or have a valid work permit for the European Union.
